DIFF Eyewear
It’s not often you find three competitors taking a good look at one another and deciding they’d be better off working together. But that’s what the founders of DIFF Charitable Eyewear did. Zach Gordan, Chad Jernigan and Chad Dime were business rivals in the music-festival eyewear industry, but, in 2014, they realized they could channel their individual innovative spirits into a common cause. That’s when they founded DIFF Eyewear, and, with a unique business model that supports designer-quality eyewear and eye charities in the developing world, they haven’t looked back since. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner and contestants from the hit shows “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” have worn and appreciated the bold and colorful shades, as has Eyes on Africa, a charity partner that provides eyeglasses to people in areas with little access to optometry care. Every time you buy a pair of sunglasses from DIFF Eyewear, you automatically take a part in its Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program, which promises a pair of reading glasses to a needy person for every pair it sells.
