Bright Cellars
Bright Cellars is an online wine club established by MIT graduates and wine buffs Richard Yau and Joe Laurendi. Aware that many of their friends were interested in wine but unsure what or how to order, the co-founders launched a subscription service in 2013 to simplify the process. As a member, you receive four scientifically selected bottles of wine per month, all for one fixed charge. The Bright Cellars system is highly effective and also fun to use. When you first sign up with Bright Cellars, you answer seven questions regarding your preferred tastes in items such as chocolate. The firm’s specialized algorithms then select the wines they consider most suitable for you. It’s an ongoing process as you return monthly feedback to help refine your choices.
Bright Cellars has curated a fine selection of wines from around the world, and currently offers around 60 choices sourced from established wineries or custom-made in-house.
